What is different about planning in Berkshire?

Slough Borough Council is the planning authority for the borough, and its local validation list was formally adopted on 1 January 2026. Applications not made through an online service carry an extra service charge (council list). The development plan still rests on the Core Strategy (2008) and saved Local Plan (2004) policies, with a new Local Plan in preparation (council). Our Berkshire page is Slough. Other Berkshire councils have their own rules and are not covered yet. We cover more councils over time and add each one only when its local facts are sourced to the council itself, with no dates promised.

We publish one Berkshire council so far. A council gets a page only once its local facts are sourced to the council itself.
